"Apology to the Legal Community in Papua New Guinea: Clarifying My Intention and Regret for Any Offense Caused"
Dear Lawyers Community in Papua New Guinea,
I am writing this letter to offer my sincerest apologies for
any offense caused by my previous article titled "10 dirty tactics played
by some crooked lawyers in PNG." I understand that this article may have
caused distress and concern within your community, and for that, I am deeply
sorry.
I want to make it clear that my intention in writing that
article was not to dispute the integrity of the legal profession in Papua New
Guinea. Instead, my aim was to highlight and educate the public about unethical
practices that some lawyers may engage in, which can tarnish the reputation of
the profession as a whole.
I understand that the legal profession in Papua New Guinea is
an honorable one that serves to uphold justice and the rule of law. It is not
my intention to diminish the hard work and dedication that lawyers put into
their profession every day. My goal was to raise awareness about unethical
practices that can damage the public's trust in the legal system.
I acknowledge that my choice of words in the article may have been insensitive, and I take full responsibility for any harm caused. I would like to assure you that I have taken steps to educate myself further about the legal profession in Papua New Guinea to ensure that I approach such topics with greater sensitivity and accuracy in the future.
I would like to conclude by reiterating my apologies to the legal community in Papua New Guinea. I deeply regret any offense caused and hope that we can work towards a better understanding of each other's perspectives in the future.
Sincerely,
